Abbott wins men's event at Skate Canada
Current U.S. champion Jeremy Abbott, who won the short program, finished second in the free skate with a season best 153.99 points, but still won the gold medal at HomeSense Skate Canada International with a 232.99 total. Read more...
(11/21/09) - Jeremy Abbott won the gold medal and Alissa Czisny took the silver Saturday at Skate Canada in Kitchener, Ontario. Abbott will join Evan Lysacek and Johnny Weir at the Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final Dec. 3-6 in Tokyo, Japan, while Ashley Wagner also clinched a spot in the field.
(11/20/09) - Christie Sausa has dreamed of going to the Olympic Winter Games since the time she was 2 years old and watched Kristi Yamaguchi skate at the 1992 Games. She may very well get her wish. (11/19/09) - The 2009 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series comes to a close this week at Skate Canada in Kitchener, Ontario. Fourteen athletes from the United States will compete against skaters from 14 other countries, all vying for points and prize money in this last of six events in the series. Read more...
