Camps
U.S. Figure Skating's Athlete Development Department offers several camps annually to address the needs of developing athletes, including at least one national camp open to all regional (singles) or sectional (pairs, dance, synchronized skating) competitors at the juvenile level or higher. All camps have a maximum capacity, but are offered on a ‘first come-first serve’ basis within the eligible pool of athletes.
- Singles skaters: National Program Components Camp (held annually in mid-April)
- Dance skaters: National Program Components Camp & U.S. Figure Skating Dance Camp (held annually in late June)
- Pairs skaters: National Program Components Camp & U.S. Figure Skating Pairs Camp (held annually in mid-June)
- Synchronized Skaters (Juvenile & higher): Synchronized Skating Training Festival (held annually in late July)
- Synchronized Skaters (Juvenile & below): DREAM Camps series (held annually the first three Saturday of July)
In addition, U.S. Figure Skating's Athlete High Performance Department offers several high performance camps to address the needs of elite and emerging elite athletes, with the goal of preparing these skaters to be successful in international competitions. These programs are usually invitation only.
In addition to U.S. Figure Skating camps, many U.S. Figure Skating clubs will choose to run camps throughout the year. Once a camp listing request is completed and faxed to U.S. Figure Skating Headquarters, these club-run programs will be listed on U.S. Figure Skating Online. For more information on such programs, please visit the Club Camps, Clinics and Seminars page.
