DREAM Program
Determination. Responsibility. Education. Achievement. Motivation. DREAM
U.S. Figure Skating's DREAM program was developed with the goal of using the skating and leadership skills of successful junior and senior level athletes in all disciplines to influence the lives of developing athletes. Skaters are selected from a highly accomplished pool of applicants to volunteer for U.S. Figure Skating in various programs to support and promote skating. Athletes applying for the program as a singles, pairs or dance athlete must have competed in at a minimum of the sectional championships at the junior or senior level, and synchronized skating athletes must have been a member of a junior or senior team that was part of the U.S. Synchronized Skating Team.
Athletes were selected based on their competitive record in their discipline, their leadership skills and volunteerism, essays they submitted, school transcripts and letters of recommendation. Athletes will be volunteering for U.S. Figure Skating through writing, blogging, assisting at national camps, and supporting local club programs.
