Opportunity knocks

Flash back to a year ago. Those who were lucky enough to have been in Spokane, Wash., in January 2007 had the opportunity to witness something special.

On the day of the men's free skate, Evan Lysacek stepped onto the ice. Hair slicked back, wearing an all-black costume, he was ready to set foot into a familiar role - performing to Carmen, his program of two seasons. Read all about how Evan Lysacek's life has changed since winning the 2007 U.S. championship in the January issue of SKATING.
