| Miles Addison |
Age: 10
Home club: Skating Club of North Carolina
Skating level: Juvenile
Coaches: Oleg Efimov and Natalia Efimova
Favorite skaters: Alexei Yagudin because he is so polished and strong
How often I skate: I skate six days a week, 11?2 hours each day.
How I got started: I started skating when I was 5 years old. I would skate on rainy days to get some energy out. I got hooked and started taking lessons in skate school. I got my first private coach at age 6.
Favorite jumps/moves: I like the double Salchow because it feels exciting when I take off and the camel spin because when I'm spinning the blood rushes to my head.
Favorite skating moment: Landing my first Axel and first double Axel. Also, finishing third in juvenile boys at the South Atlantic Regional Championships and qualifying for the U.S. Junior Figure Skating Championships in Jamestown, N.Y.
Goals: My goal is to make a career out of skating and win as many competitions as possible.
What else you should know about me:I take dance to help with skating and am in the Nutcracker cast this year. I also like to skateboard, even though my parents don't like me to, and I like to ski.
