| Karlee Rajaniemi |
Age: 12
Home club: University of Denver Figure Skating Club
Skating level: Preliminary
How often I skate: I skate four to five times a week, one to two sessions a day.
Favorite jumps/moves: I like my Axel a lot, now that I've landed it. I also really enjoy doing layback spins and Ina Bauers.
Favorite skaters: Michelle Kwan is my favorite skater because of her determination, grace and love of the sport. I also like Sasha Cohen because of her flexibility.
Favorite skating moment: My favorite skating moment was when I landed my first clean Axel.
Goals: Two of my goals are to pass my pre-juvenile tests and land my double Salchow.
What else you should know about me: I have had Type 1 (juvenile) diabetes since the age of 4. I sing in a select choir at my middle school, and I was in my school's production of A Christmas Carol last December. I also have a twin brother.
