| Molly Phillips |
Age: 11
Home club: Northern Kentucky SC
Skating level: Pre-juvenile
Favorite skaters: Sasha Cohen because of her determination to be the best she can be.
How long I've been skating: I started skating when I was 7 in a learn-to-skate class. I went through Basic 6 when Ted Masdea told my mom that I had a lot of potential, so I started private lessons with him.
How often I skate: I skate five days a week all year, two hours a day during the school year and three hours a day during the summer.
Favorite jumps/moves: I love to do double toes, Axels, flying camels, illusions and layback spins. Favorite skating moments: When I landed my double toe, which took me nine months, and when I won first place at Skate Detroit in 2002.
Goals: My goals are to land more doubles and to get over my fear of falling.
What else you should know about me: My coaches are Stephanie Miller, Ted Masdea, Gretchen Reisner and Joanna Skeen. I am a seventh grader at Villa Madonna Academy. I have a mom, a dad, and an older sister, Sarah. I love school and skating and hope to excel in both. I also hope to be an architect when I grow up.
