| Christina Atkinson |
Age: 11
Home club: Atlanta FSC
Skating level: Pre-juvenile
Coaches: Brittney Bottoms, Julia Janas
How often do you skate?: Five days a week. I skate before school and sometimes in the afternoon, and then I skate on Saturday and Sunday. I also take ballet, have a personal trainer and take part in off-ice classes.
Favorite jumps/spins: Double toe and Axel. There is a move that I put into my scratch spin that's my signature move.
Favorite skaters: Kimmie Meissner inspires me to concentrate on my Axel. Sasha Cohen brings so much beauty and grace to figure skating. Michelle Kwan and Brian Boitano motivate me to work hard.
Goals: Represent my club at the U.S. Junior Championships. Make the U.S. World Team as my coach did, and represent our country at the World Championships. Represent the U.S. at the 2014 Olympics.
What else you should know about me:I'm on the principal's honor roll for straight As at my middle school, where I am in the gifted program. I am a cheerleader and have taken piano lessons for four years. Each year I earn the Presidential Physical Fitness Award.
