| Dash Kamriani Beard |
Age: 4
Home club: St. Moritz ISC, Dublin, Calif.
How often do you skate?: I skate three times a week. I've been skating for one year. I take private lessons, group lessons (I'm in Alpha) and a Mommy-Me class, which I love because I can race my mom. We love to skate together.
Favorite jumps/moves: Dips, forwards and backward swizzles. I'm working on forward crossovers.
Favorite skaters: Juliano Jao and Craig Norris, who are amazing teenage skaters at my home rink. When I get bigger, I'm going to jump and spin like them.
Favorite skating moments Meeting Rudy Galindo in Vacaville, Calif., after my second skating competition. We took a picture together with Rudy's little dog, Hazel. I won a third-place medal that day, and Rudy told me he also finished third at his first competition. Another favorite moment was taking a private lesson from my skating idol, Juliano Jao, during my fourth birthday party at the rink.
What else you should know about me: My mom taught me to skate, and we have so much fun on the ice. I have a great coach, Kim Micheff, who believes in me. I chose the music for my first program. It's from “The Wiggles,” and I also chose my costume. I wanted to be the yellow “Wiggle” named Sam.
