April 2008

| Madison Cole |
Age: 8
Home town: Grand Rapids, Mich.
Home club: Grand Rapids FSC
How I got started: My mom was a figure skater and really loved it. I think she had plans for me to be a skater before I could even walk. I first tried skating at 3 and it seems like I've been at the rink ever since.
How often do I skate: I am usually on the ice five to six days a week. I skate about three hours a day during the week and an hour on Saturday.
Favorite jumps/moves: Axel, double Salchow and double loop
Favorite skater: Mirai Nagasu. I was lucky enough to be at the 2008 U.S. Championships and see her skate. She was amazing.
Goals: I want to be a novice level skater by age 13. I think I'm on my way, but I still have a lot of work to do.
What else you should know about me: I am home schooled, play piano, love to read and have a younger sister, Anna. She is from Guatemala and just learning to skate.
