| Mianna Taylor Mantooth |
Age: 11
Hometown: Acworth, Ga.
Home club: Georgia FSC
Level: Preliminary
Coach: Brittany Bottoms
How I got started: My grandma loves to watch graceful sports. She loves ice skating the most, so she bought me a pair of ice skates and took me to the mall. I was 3 and didn't know a thing but after years of practicing I'm where I am now.
How often do I skate: Four to five days a week
Favorite jumps/moves: Lutz, half loop, Axel combo, flying camel, layback spin and Biellmann spin
Favorite skaters: Kimberly Meissner and Kristi Yamaguchi
Goals: To land three or four doubles in 2008
What else you should know about me: I play the viola in our school orchestra. I am a straight-A student. I have a brother, Jake. I also love to try new hairstyles and have tons of sleepovers.
Most memorable skating moment:I was working on my Axel when my friend, Julie Swantek, came over and started helping me. She kept reminding me to jump up and over, and I finally landed it with no problem.
