Club: Denver Figure Skating Club

Skating Level: I'm pre-preliminary now, but I am very, very close to preliminary.

How long I've been skating: I have skated just for fun ever since I was 2 years old. When I turned 9, I saw Tara Lipinski win the 1998 Olympics and knew I wanted to skate professionally. I got a more serious coach later on.

How often I skate: At the moment, I only skate three days a week because I live an hour away from my rink, but I have lots of sessions and lessons in those times. I also have off-ice conditioning and stretching classes, and I do yoga to keep my muscles loose.

Favorite skaters: I definitely love Tara Lipinski for her willingness to do so much at such a young age; Kristi Yamaguchi for her grace and beauty on the ice; Michelle Kwan for her great energy to keep going; and Todd Eldredge for his great enthusiasm to keep his dreams alive.

Favorite jumps/moves: I love the Axel, although I haven't landed it yet. I love doing sit, camel and layback spins. I love to be artistic.

Favorite skating moment: My favorite skating moment was my first competition. I felt unique and comfortable on the ice, and I even took first place!

What I like about skating: I like that when I get on the ice I feel different. It's like I'm a whole new person who can do anything. I'm alive and full of energy!

What else you should know about me: I love to ride horses. I'm currently taking lessons and am saving up for my own horse. I also love to act in plays. In my spare time I love to read and be with friends. I'm a person who doesn't give up and has lots of dreams.
