Meet Cincinnati Style

Club/Level: FSC of Cincinnati (Teen Introductory)

Coaches: Susan Papert and Maureen Geier

Team members: Susan Osgood, Brynn Shuller, Brooke Hoover, Ashley Malin, Molly Seitz, Sabrina Shrider, Shelby Shrider, Jenny Miller, Elizabeth Gormley, Jessica Miller, Kerstin Nilsson, Lindsey Michael, Justine Daley, Abbey Sussel, and Chloe Amitin

Team rituals: We try to make our coach cry by putting our best skate out for the judges. Also after we compete and they let us go back to the hotel, we all get in our bathing suits and take our hair out then jump in the pool!

What makes Cincinnati Style special? There is a lot of family involvement, our moms do a lot for us, they make us door hangers, and candy bags to go on the doorknob of our hotel rooms and stuff like that.

Team goals: Our goals are to get better and progress every year

What is the best part of being on a synchronized team? The best part is that you are with your friends and you can count on every one to help you.

What are some of your favorite memories? At a competition we skated our best and everyone was excited, when we saw we got last no one cared we all went back to one girl's room and had a party and a sleep over! It was really fun!

Attention, synchronized skaters!

If you'd like to see your synchronized team profiled in SKATING magazine, fill out the Synchronized Spotlight submission form below and send in a team picture to become the next team featured in Synchronized Spotlight! You can send in the form and photo by mail or e-mail them to skatingmagazine@usfsa.org.

Any team in the preliminary, youth introductory, teen introductory, juvenile, intermediate or novice divisions is eligibile. (Sorry higher level teams – this is for kids only!) Teams will be selected by SKATING magazine. We request that the questions are answered by the skaters — not moms, dads, big sisters, coaches or team managers. But please make sure to provide a contact phone number for a representative team member or coach.
