Meet The Snowflakes
The Snowflakes

Club/level: Warwick Figure Skaters/Juvenile

Coaches: Erika Hoffman, Bethany Sundin

Team members: Alyssa Galbraith, Abigail Goslin, Katie Henshall, Angela Lama, Alexandre Nulty, Hannah Patry, Alexandre Quinn, Gabrielle Resh, Karen Reyes, Elizabeth Slade, Kelly Sugrue, Megan Sugrue

Team rituals: We have adopted a stuffed penguin named Bert who lives with a different team member every week. We also have a pig mascot named Hector who comes to all of our shows and competitions. We name team “superstars” after every practice and competition.

What makes The Snowflakes special? We are like a family. We all get along very well and enjoy every minute we spend together on the ice. We are a small team this year, but we are very strong because we are so dedicated and love to skate.

Team goals: Our goal is to skate our best every single time we take the ice. We want to work really hard but also have tons of fun.

What is the best part of being on a synchronized team? It allows us to always have friends who support us, and with whom we can practice and celebrate. Getting to travel to Georgia for the Eastern Sectional Championships was very exciting, too.

What are some of your favorite memories? We like to remember all the time we've spent together and all the competitions in which we've competed. Having Eastern Sectionals in Rhode Island a few years ago was great. Some of our favorite memories from this year are the day we found out our last skater had passed her test and we could compete at sectionals and, driving to Cape Cod for a competition in a blizzard and bringing home the pewter medal after a great skate.
