Brittany Bressler
How did you start skating?
My mother is a figure skating coach. When I was 2 years old she brought me along when she taught her lessons. I started taking lessons from her and other local coaches and pretty soon I fell in love with the sport.

What are the highest tests you've passed?
Senior moves in the field, senior free skating and pre-gold dance

What do you like best about synchronized skating?
Teamwork. After competing in singles for 11 years, I felt that I was missing something: teamwork. Synchronized skating has taught me how to work productively with a group of people. I love the feeling of stepping on the ice, ready to compete as a team, not as 16 individuals.

What is your favorite competition memory?
The feeling I had when performing the free skate at the 2007 World Junior Team Selection Competition in Lowell, Mass. As my team finished the last 20 seconds of a clean program, I could barely hear the music because the home crowd was cheering so loudly. This feeling was amazing because of all the hard work that we had put into our training throughout the season had finally paid off. Earning a spot on the Junior World Team, I felt that everything had fallen into place.

What are your goals for the 2007-08 season?
For my team to work harder than we have ever worked before, to not only maintain our status from last year but to improve our step and component scores. I would like to see us persevere and keep working toward success.
