Lineup Announced for 2007-08 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series

(6/8/07) – The International Skating Union (ISU) announced today the dates, locations and skater selections for the 2007-08 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series, which will begin with Skate America in Reading, Pa., Oct. 25-28. The U.S. will be represented in the Grand Prix Series by a total of 48 entries including 39 different athletes.

The Grand Prix Series, which enters its 13th season, incorporates six prestigious international figure skating competitions as a unified point-scoring series that awards prize money to eligible skaters. At the conclusion of the six events, athletes' points are totaled and the top six ladies and men and the top six pairs and dance teams are invited to compete at the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final. This year the Grand Prix Final will be held Dec. 13-16 at an as-yet-to-be-determined location.

The ISU Grand Prix Series consists of the following six events:
Oct. 25-28 — Skate America, Reading, Pa.
Nov. 1-4 — Skate Canada, Quebec City, Quebec
Nov. 8-11 — Cup of China, Beijing, China
Nov. 15-18 — Trophée Eric Bompard, Paris, France
Nov. 22-25 — Cup of Russia, Moscow, Russia
Nov. 29-Dec. 2 — NHK Trophy, Sendai, Japan
