(10/13/12) - In just their second competition together, Kaitlin Hawayek and Jean-Luc Baker brought home the silver medal at the final Junior Grand Prix event of the season in Chemnitz, Germany. Team USA finished with a total of 19 medals during the JGP season and will be represented by six entries at the JGP Final in Sochi, Russia in Dec.

Since teaming up in June, Hawayek and Baker finished in fifth place in their lone competition previous to JGP Germany at JGP Turkey earlier this year. The duo, who train in Michigan, opened with 58.66 points in their short dance and 79.95 for their free dance for a total of 138.61 points and the silver medal.

In the ladies event, Leah Keiser earned a fourth place finish with 141.15 points and, coupled with a gold medal at JGP Turkey, she has secured a spot as one of the top six ladies to appear at the JGP Final. Samantha Cesario, the JGP Austria bronze medalist, was forced to withdraw after she strained a hamstring. She was in 10th after the short program and did not perform her free skate.

In the men's event, Shotaro Omori and Jay Yostanto finished in fourth and sixth place respectively. Yostanto was in third after the short program but finished with the seventh-best free skate. Omori earned his third fourth place finish at a JGP event in his fourth appearance.

In pairs, 2012 U.S. junior silver medalists Britney Simpson and Matthew Blackmer finished in fifth place while Jessica Pfund and AJ Reiss came in seventh.

Based on finishes at each of the JGP events, the top six in each discipline earn an invitation to the JGP Final. Team USA will be composed of the following athletes:

Ladies: Keiser, Hannah Miller and Angela Wang

Men's: Jason Brown and Joshua Farris
