All-Event Tickets for 2013 Hilton HHonors Skate America are Now on Sale

(5/30/13) - All-event ticket packages for 2013 Hilton HHonors Skate America will go on sale at 10 a.m. ET on Monday, June 3. Skate America, the first of six stops on the International Skating Union (ISU) Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series, will take place Oct. 18-20, at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.

Tickets, starting at $90 per seat, will be available at or the Joe Louis Arena box office. Ticket packages will include admission to all five ticketed sessions, including the Skating Spectacular, an exhibition following the competition. Entry to all official practice sessions will be included in all-event ticket packets.

Single-session tickets will go on sale this fall.

Skate America will feature three days of competition in ladies, men's, pairs and ice dancing. The field of competitors will include 52 world-class athletes, some of whom will compete at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.

Past Skate America titlists include five-time World champion and two-time Olympic medalist Michelle Kwan and Olympic champions Kristi Yamaguchi, Scott Hamilton and Evan Lysacek.

The complete list of athletes selected to compete at the 2013 Hilton HHonors Skate America and the remaining Grand Prix Series events will also be announced June 3.

Other stops on the Grand Prix Series include Skate Canada (St. John, New Brunswick), Cup of China (Beijing), NHK Trophy (Tokyo), Trophee Eric Bompard (Paris) and Rostelecom Cup (Moscow). Skaters earn points throughout the Grand Prix Series to qualify for the Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final each December. The 2013 Grand Prix Final will be held Dec. 5-8, in Fukuoka, Japan.

NBC will kick-off their season-long coverage of the ISU Grand Prix Series with two hours live at Skate America from 4-6 p.m. (ET) on Sunday, Oct. 20. will stream live coverage of the entire Grand Prix Series on a subscription basis. NBC will carry same-weekend coverage of the remaining Grand Prix events, while Universal Sports will broadcast live and delayed coverage throughout the Grand Prix season. Broadcast details will be announced at a later date.
