2011 Technical Panel Continuing Education Schools

The Technical Panel Committee of U.S. Figure Skating will be hosting three Technical Panel Continuing Education Schools in conjunction with the 2011 U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Greensboro, N.C. The schools for singles and pairs will take place Sunday, Jan. 23 through Tuesday, Jan 25. The school for ice dancing will take place Monday, Jan. 24 and Tuesday, Jan. 25.

School for Singles

Sunday, Jan.y 23: 10 a.m.-10 p.m. (There will be breaks.)

Tuesday, Jan. 25: 10 a.m.-11 a.m.

School for Pairs

Sunday, Jan. 23: 3:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

Monday, Jan. 24: 4 p.m.-8:10 p.m.

Each school is open to technical controllers and technical specialists holding a regional or sectional appointment in the discipline in which they want to participate. Those holding a nonqualifying appointment may also be able to participate, if space permits, so please apply if you are interested. Those who attend will receive credit for one nonqualifying competition to be considered toward future advancement.

Space is limited. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, provided that applicants meet the stated requirements.

There is a $50 fee to cover administrative costs. You will not be charged unless you are accepted to the school. Credit cards will be charged the week of Dec. 13.

Applications are due by Nov. 30, 2010, and must be completed online at https://fs12.formsite.com/USFSAIT/2011US-TPS/secure_index.html?1288989287036. You will be notified by Dec.10 as to whether you are accepted to participate.

Please note that those accepted to one of the schools will receive tickets to the events that are part of the school. (For example, if you are accepted to the school for ice dancing, you will receive tickets to the novice free dance and junior short dance).
