Abbott Wins Short Program on Day One at Skate Canada
  

(11/20/09) - Jeremy Abbott won the short program Friday night at Skate Canada in Kitchener, Ontario. Alissa Czisny and Mirai Nagasu placed second and third, respectively, in the ladies short program, while Emily Samuelson and Evan Bates came in fourth in the compulsory dance.

U.S. Athletes Win Four Medals at 2009 Cancer.Net Skate America
  

(11/15/09) - U.S. athletes won four medals, including two golds, at 2009 Cancer.Net Skate America in Lake Placid, N.Y. Evan Lysacek and ice dancers Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto took the top prize in their respective disciplines, and both will compete at the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final next month in Tokyo, Japan. Rachael Flatt grabbed the silver, and Ryan Bradley claimed the bronze.

(11/10/09) - The 2009 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series continues this week with 2009 Cancer.Net Skate America in Lake Placid, N.Y. Athletes from the United States will compete against skaters from 18 other countries, all vying for points and prize money in this fifth of six events in the series. San Jose, Calif., Selected to Host 2012 U.S. Figure Skating Championships
  

(11/4/09) - U.S. Figure Skating announced today the selection of San Jose, Calif., as the host city for the 2012 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, Jan. 22-29, 2012. The event, held annually since 1914, is the nation's most prestigious figure skating event, with past winners including such skating luminaries as Michelle Kwan, Kristi Yamaguchi, Brian Boitano and Scott Hamilton. Davis and White Collect Second Gold at NHK Trophy
  

(11/8/09) - Ice dancers Meryl Davis and Charlie White snagged their second gold medal of this ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series with a more than 20-point lead at the NHK Trophy in Nagano, Japan. The United States earned three more medals at NHK Trophy, with Johnny Weir winning silver, and Ashley Wagner and pairs team Rena Inoue and John Baldwin claiming bronze in their respective events.

Belbin and Agosto Win Gold, Lysacek Silver at Cup of China
  

(10/31/09) - Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto won the gold medal and Evan Lysacek took the silver Saturday at the Cup of China in Beijing. At Ice Challenge in Graz, Austria, the pairs teams of Caitlin Yankowskas and John Coughlin, and Chloe Katz and Joseph Lynch won gold and silver, respectively, while ice dancers Lynn Kriengkrairut and Logan Giulietti-Schmitt collected the silver medal. Amanda Dobbs earned bronze in the ladies event.
