2011 AT&T U.S. Figure Skating Championships Come to Greensboro, N.C.

(1/22/11) - The country's best figure skaters take to the ice Jan. 22-30 for the 2011 AT&T U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Greensboro, N.C.. The event will be held at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex.

More than 250 figure skaters will compete in the novice, junior and senior levels for 12 national titles awarded in ladies, men's, pairs and ice dancing. Nine athletes from the 2010 U.S. Olympic Team will compete in Greensboro, including all four reigning U.S. titlists: Rachael Flatt (ladies), Jeremy Abbott (men's), Caydee Denney & Jeremy Barrett (pairs), and Meryl Davis & Charlie White (ice dancing).

Official practice begins Saturday, Jan. 22 for all four novice disciplines and junior ladies and men's. Practice sessions are open to the public. Competition starts Sunday, Jan. 23 at 10 a.m. with the novice compulsory dance. Tickets for all sessions are available at northcarolina2011.com.

NBC Sports will provide live, high-definition coverage of the senior-level events on network and cable television. NBC will air nine hours of skating, including the two-hour Smucker's Skating Spectacular, which will be shown from 2:30-4:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Feb. 5.

NBC's broadcast team of Tom Hammond (play by play), Scott Hamilton (analyst), Sandra Bezic (analyst), Tracy Wilson (analyst) and Andrea Joyce (reporter) will call the action from Greensboro.
