Davis and White Earn Silver at the 2012 ISU World Figure Skating Championships

Ice Dancing
The four-time U.S. champions, Davis and White, earned their third straight medal at a World Championships as they finished in second place with 178.62 points overall. The duo, who train in Canton, Mich., were edged for gold by rink-mates Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir of Canada (182.65). U.S. silver medalists Maia Shibutani and Alex Shibutani finished in eighth with 144.72 points in their second appearance at the World Championships and U.S. bronze medalists Madison Hubbell and Zach Donohue finished in 10th in their World Championships debut with 143.95 points. Team USA has placed three teams in the top 10 in ice dancing for the second straight year.
Ladies
U.S. champion Ashley Wagner posted the third-best free skate score to finish in fourth place and secured the best finish for a U.S. lady since Kimmie Meissner finished fourth in 2007. Wagner earned 120.35 points for her Black Swan free skate and 176.77 points overall. U.S. silver medalist Alissa Czisny finished the competition in 22nd place.
Pairs
In each of their first World Championships with their current partners, Caydee Denney and John Coughlin and Mary Beth Marley and Rockne Brubaker both finished in the top 10 to give Team USA two top 10 finishes in pairs in two of the last three World Championships. U.S. champions Denney and Coughlin placed seventh with 180.37 points and U.S. silver medalists Marley and Brubaker finished in 10th with 170.90 points.
Men
U.S. champion Jeremy Abbott earned a total of 226.19 points overall and finished in eighth place while U.S. silver medalist Adam Rippon earned 216.63 overall and finished in 13th place.
