(9/26/13) - U.S. Figure Skating announced today that single-session tickets for the 2014 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships will go on sale at 11 a.m. (ET) on Friday, Sept. 27. The 2014 U.S. Championships are set for Jan. 5-12, 2014, at TD Garden and the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC).

Starting at $10, single-session tickets are available online by visiting www.boston2014.com, by calling Ticketmaster at 800.745.3000 and by visiting the TD Garden Box Office. Full event information is also available at www.boston2014.com.

The 2014 U.S. Championships will serve as the final qualifying event prior to the selection of the U.S. Olympic Figure Skating Team that will represent Team USA Feb. 6-23, 2014, in Sochi, Russia, at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games.

The U.S. Championships, held annually since 1914, is the nation's most prestigious figure skating event, with past winners including Michelle Kwan, Kristi Yamaguchi, Scott Hamilton, Evan Lysacek and Massachusetts natives Nancy Kerrigan (Woburn, Mass.) and Todd Eldredge (Chatham, Mass.). Champions will be crowned in 20 events: ladies, men's, pairs and ice dance at the senior, junior, novice, intermediate and juvenile levels of the U.S. Figure Skating competitive structure.

U.S. Figure Skating will work with The Skating Club of Boston to host the event. The U.S. Championships return to Boston for the seventh time in the event's history (2001, 1962, '41, '31, 26, 22). The 2001 event set a then-record for attendance at the U.S. Championships. The Boston area has hosted numerous regional and sectional championships and, most recently, the 2013 World Synchronized Skating Championships. In March 2016, Boston is slated to host the ISU World Figure Skating Championships for the first time.

NBC will air seven hours of live coverage from the U.S. Championships and two additional hours of the Smucker's Skating Spectacular, an exhibition featuring the top finishers in each level and discipline. Icenetwork will broadcast live and on-demand coverage to Season Pass subscribers.
