San Jose, Calif., Selected to Host 2012 U.S. Figure Skating Championships
(11/4/09) - U.S. Figure Skating announced today the selection of San Jose, Calif., as the host city for the 2012 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, Jan. 22-29, 2012. The event, held annually since 1914, is the nation's most prestigious figure skating event, with past winners including such skating luminaries as Michelle Kwan, Kristi Yamaguchi, Brian Boitano and Scott Hamilton. (10/31/09) - Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto won the gold medal and Evan Lysacek took the silver Saturday at the Cup of China in Beijing. At Ice Challenge in Graz, Austria, the pairs teams of Caitlin Yankowskas and John Coughlin, and Chloe Katz and Joseph Lynch won gold and silver, respectively, while ice dancers Lynn Kriengkrairut and Logan Giulietti-Schmitt collected the silver medal. Amanda Dobbs earned bronze in the ladies event.
(10/28/09) - DeeDee Leng, the 2009 U.S. junior champion, announced today that she will sit out the remainder of the 2009-10 competitive season because of a back injury. Leng last competed in the International Skating Union (ISU) Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series event in Lake Placid, N.Y., Sept. 2-6, where she finished seventh. Read more...
(10/28/09) - The 2009 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series continues at the Cup of China in Beijing, Oct. 29-Nov. 1.
