(9/2/08) - The second event of the 2008 International Skating Union (ISU) Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating (JGP) Series takes place Sept. 3-7 in Merano, Italy. The event will be held at the Meranarena – Via Palade 74, beginning Thursday, Sept. 4 with the compulsory dance and the ladies and men's short programs. Official practice will take place Wednesday. (9/2/08) - The Michael Weiss Foundation (MWF) is bringing a stellar cast to the Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, Va., on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, for the fourth annual "U.S. & World Figure Skating Champions LIVE!". (8/30/08) - U.S. figure skaters collected four medals at this week's Junior Grand Prix Series event in Courchevel, France, including gold by Kristine Musademba and ice dancers Maia Shibutani and Alex Shibutani. Becky Bereswill took the silver in the ladies competition as did Armin Mahbanoozadeh in the men's event.
