Understanding your S.T.A.R.S Report
For an explanation of your S.T.A.R.S. Report, please click here. While this will explain your performance in the context of other athletes in your age and gender group, and by skating level, keep in mind that it is most important to track your progress relative only to yourself over time.

Finding an Off-Ice Trainer
U.S. Figure Skating does not recommend or endorse any specific trainer or certification, and recognizes that there are great trainers from diverse educational and experiential backgrounds. That said, the S.T.A.R.S. program was developed with the cooperation of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and all S.T.A.R.S. program assessors hold Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification, and are trained in developing athletic skills that will support your on-ice performance. Those interested in finding an NSCA trainer in their home area can consult http://www.nsca-lift.org/ trainers as a starting point. Additionally, you may find a list of assessors/assistants from each S.T.A.R.S. Combine click here.
