Coach Members

The Coach members of the BOD will be recommended by the PSA for approval by the Nominating Committee* Currently, there are two (2) Coaches serving as voting members of the BOD. To be considered, a Coach must currently be involved in national or international coaching.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Voting member of the BOD
  • Attend all BOD meetings and conference calls
  • Communicate decisions of the BOD to the Coaches and discuss issues relevant to the USFS and to the Coaches for representation to the BOD.

Other Activities

  • Communicate with the PSA on a regular basis on decisions and activities of the BOD
  • Confer with PSA leadership to communicate recommendations, activities and issues to the BOD

Qualifications

Highly Recommended:
  • Substantial experience as a coach, including national and international experience,
  • Attendance at least 3 Governing Council meetings, member in good standing of the PSA
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills

Recommended:

  • Strong collaboration skills

Estimated time commitment: Attendance at Governing Council (3-4 days) and Fall BOD meeting (1.5-2 days) plus monthly conference calls (1-2 hours)
