U.S. Field for U.S. International Classic Announced

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—U.S. Figure Skating announced today the 22 athletes which will represent the United States at the U.S. International Classic in Salt Lake City from Sept. 13-17, 2017.

International competitors for the event will be finalized later in August.

The event will start with the men’s and pairs short programs on Thursday, Sept. 14. On Friday, Sept. 15, the ice dance and ladies competition will begin along with the conclusion of the men's and pairs competition. The competition will conclude on Saturday, Sept. 16 with the free dance and the ladies free skate. Official practice will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 13.

The event will be the first in a series of 10 competitions that will make up the 2017 ISU Challenger Series. The event will take place at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex, which served as the official training venue for figure skating at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.
